“Keys to the Future”, in aid of the Burlington Performing Arts Centre.

“Keys to the Future” is designed to raise funds for a grand piano in the Burlington Performing Arts Centre, planned for completion in 2011. The money will be generated through direct donations, as well as in a series of musical events to be held in the next two years.
Three concerts have already been planned for 2010.

The first, titled "Traveling through Time" will be held Friday, January 29 and will feature Burlington pianists representing five centuries of piano music. The second, "You must Remember This", is scheduled for Friday, March 26 and will feature popular songs from five decades performed by a number of local singers and musicians. Both these concerts take place at St. Luke’s Parish Hall at 1382 Ontario Street in Burlington.
The gala concert on May 8 will feature 2 excellent groups, the Jazz Connection and the Harlequin Singers in a concert titled "I Love a Piano and All that Jazz". The gala will be at the Polish Hall at 2316 Fairview St, Burlington.

Tickets for all these concerts can be purchased at the Burlington City Hall or by contacting Andrea Battista at abattista1@cogeco.ca or by calling 905-331-8701.

The Burlington Performing Arts Centre is a major initiative, designed to provide two state-of-the-art performance spaces: a main stage seating 730, and a community studio theatre seating 225. It is intended for a wide range of performance types including theatre, music, opera and ballet. The Centre is being built on the south-west corner of Elgin and Locust Streets near City Hall in downtown Burlington, on the site of the former police station. It will serve the residents of Halton County, and provide a permanent location for all forms of musical and dramatic arts endeavours.
