City 2 Sunrise - A Trip Through Asia
Gallery ArtPlus presents an exhibition with an Asian flair featuring work from artist Brian Lorimer.
In January 2010, Belleville born painter, Brian Lorimer was hired to capture the adventure of four Australians as they journeyed 14,000 km through South East Asia on motocross bikes.
To date the riders have raised over $100,000 and brought much needed awareness to the Sunrise Children’s Village of Cambodia.
Sunrise Children’s Village started in September 1993 as ‘The Australia Cambodia Foundation with two orphanages located in Siem Reap and Phnom Penh. They care for hundreds of orphaned or disadvantage Cambodian children. Plans are in place to open a third Sunrise Children’s Village in Sihanoukville.
The ‘City 2 Sunrise’ exhibition will take place at Gallery ArtPlus Thursday July 8th. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. and ends at 8:00 p.m. The ‘City 2 Sunrise – A Trip Through Asia’ exhibition proceeds will directly benefit the orphans of Sunrise Children’s Village in Cambodia.
The exhibition ends Aug 14, 2010.

Artists along scenic Rednersville Road in Prince Edward County will open their studios to the public on Labour Day weekend for the third annual Rednersville Road Art Tour. The tour includes stops at 18 different studios and workplaces displaying the work of 37 artists. Watch for signs along the way. This is a free self guided tour.
