Parkinson SuperWalk 2010
2010 marks the 20th anniversary of SuperWalk and it will be Parkinson Society Canada’s biggest fundraising event yet! In 2009, $2.6 million was raised nationally through SuperWalk, helping fund 16 new research programs as well as providing resources for education, advocacy and support services to the over 100,000 Canadians living with this debilitating disease. This year it is our goal to raise $3 million, $900,000 of which is hoped to come from generous supporters in Central and Northern Ontario.
The Toronto SuperWalk is being held on Sunday, September 12th at Earl Bales Park (Bathurst & Sheppard), with registration beginning at 9:30 am. This is a fun family event with participants ranging from infancy and on! You can even register your family as a team. Everyone is welcome!
With your help, we can make a better life and a brighter future for Canadians living with Parkinson’s today – a world without Parkinson’s tomorrow. For more information on SuperWalk and to register or sponsor a walker please visit www.parkinsonsuperwalk.ca or call 1.800.565.3000.
