Gluck on a Skateboard?! Check it out!
This excerpt of Christoph Willibald' 'Minuet & Dance of the Blessed Spirits' from his opera Orpheo et Euridice was recorded by a student of mine (yes, um, that's me on the skateboard)after a summer flute lesson at the RCM's Cawthra Adamson Mississauga location. It's a beautiful spot for music instruction: a gorgeous historic building on the shores of Lake Ontario, nestled in these dense woods...what could be more idyllic than that? I guess I should watch what I'm doing or I might end up singing the castralto part!?!
